Skrap is a business and entrepreneurship proposal to develop a dynamic waste management platform to assist municipalities and private companies collect waste more efficiently and reduce costs. By planting sensors inside large trash containers, these sensors will measure the fill levels of the receptacles and communicate that information through wireless cellular transmission to a database. This database will provide a networks of trash bins and their corresponding fill levels to trash removal companies. With this information, trash removal companies can dynamically alter their routes to only pick up trash bins that are full, rather than wasting fuel and time collecting from an empty trash bin. 

 

Through the development of this business proposal, this presentation creates a viable argument for the construction of a prototype to demonstrate this capability.
