2019-2020

Amgen builds various medical devices, mostly concentrated on drug delivery products. I worked on various products for this company: wearable IV pump for at home drug delivery, a novel sterilization technique for drug delivery devices, and container closure integrity (CCI) disassembly test fixtures for various auto-injectors. I designed a wearable IV pump to enable patients to stay at home while being administered a drug product. This wearable IV pump had to deliver a consistent volume of drug to the patients at a regular interval even if the patient was laying down or standing up. Additionally, I designed a injection pump to utilize a novel sterilization technique to reduce costs and reduce assembly complexity. Finally, I designed various CCI disassembly test fixtures to disable auto injectors to ensure drug sterility.
